[tutorial] bandit 시작하기(putty 설정)

Bandit Level 0

Level Goal

The goal of this level is for you to log into the game using SSH. The host to which you need to connect is bandit.labs.overthewire.org, on port 2220. The username is bandit0 and the password is bandit0. Once logged in, go to the Level 1 page to find out how to beat Level 1.

ssh 를 이용해서 로그인을 해야합니다. 접속 정보를 알려줬으니 접속을 해봅시다.

먼저 putty 를 설치하고 실행해주세요

Download PuTTY: latest release (0.76)

 

다운로드 페이지 위에 package files(윈도우 설치용) 을 다운받고 설치하셔도 되고

아래 alterative binary files 에서 그냥 실행용 파일을 다운받아도 됩니다.

본인 pc 가 32bit 인지, 64bit 인지 확인하시고 사양에 맞게 다운받으시면 됩니다.

srcurecrt, xshell 등 다른 터미널 프로그램도 관계 없습니다.

 

 

이런 식으로 hostname, port 를 입력해주세요

입력한 정보를 아예 세션으로 저장해주시면 더 좋습니다.

 

putty 를 사용하는 김에 몇가지 설정도 추가로 보겠습니다.

lines of scrollback 을 넉넉히 잡아주세요(스크롤 라인 수 증가)

 

seconds between keepalives 를 적당히 설정해주세요. 지정된 시간(초) 마다 신호를 보내서 ssh 연결이 끊기지 않게 해줍니다.

 

 

id, password 모두 bandit0 를 입력하면 됩니다.

로그인 완료

 

로그인 하고 보니 일반적인 리눅스 환경입니다.

 

bandit.labs.overthewire.org 에는 리눅스 서버가 설치 및 운영되고 있고,

얘는 bandit0 ~ bandit33 까지의 사용자를 가지고 있고,

우리는 각 사용자별로 로그인을 해서 주어진 문제를 해결하고 password 를 획득하면

다음 단계로 진출할 수 있는 구조입니다.
